Dear Friends and Intercessors,
This ripening barley field that greets us as we drive down the lane to our chapel speaks very clearly... the time for the harvest is fast approaching. The heads of grain are swelling and getting plumper by the day. We have had a wonder three weeks of amazing sunny weather, and now the rains are falling again, nothing should hold this back from becoming a bountiful crop. Again, it all just paints a picture of what we see happening in the world around us as God continues to call people to Himself.
In the final verses of Psalm 85, the writer says, "Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yes, the Lord will give what is good; and our land will yield its increase. Righteousness will go before Him, and shall make His footsteps our pathway." As we have mentioned in our previous updates, this is actually happening in many places. Especially among the younger generations, people want more than just being church-going Christians; they seek to become disciples, following in His footsteps.
On May 10th we went with Gladys to the Gathering of Rainmakers in Ebbw Vale, to the north of Cardiff. The meeting was organized by Joe James, who visited back in February with his parents. With a dedicated team of helpers, they orchestrated a wonderful montage of video clips and stories of the abundant revival history, wonderful worship, and segments of powerful prayer for a fresh outpouring of God's presence in power and salvation.
They are planning to take this worshipful prayer-empowering presentation to many places throughout Wales to encourage the Body of Christ to seriously engage in intercession for the continuing and strengthening move of God throughout the land. They are off to a great start in this valuable ministry, so please remember them in your prayers going forward. Their next Gathering will take place at Blaenannerch Chapel here in West Wales on June 26th at 6 PM.
The following week we had the pleasure of hosting a group of people from North Wales at Cilfowyr Chapel. They came on a 2-day Wildfires Revival Tour with our friend David Hatch. They arrived at Blaenannerch Chapel on Wednesday morning from the north, and we joined in their activities and prayers with them there. It was a rich time of worship and intercession after hearing about how the Lord launched Evan Roberts into his revival ministry from there in 1904.
The next morning the group met us at our chapel and all were eager to hear about how God had called us to Wales. Though we have told it many times over, re-telling our story in detail is always an emotional experience for us both. Particularly touching was when Gladys shared how the Lord spoke directly to her. She had been struggling with the idea of leaving our kids behind, and then one day while she was praying and weeping, he whispered in her ear, "Gladys, your children are no longer your children, but they are mine, and I will take care of them." By that time our cheeks weren't the only ones that were wet.
Needless to say, after all these years, there are many stories and countless precious times. The Holy Spirit has moved and lives have been changed, including our own. But central to it all is that our time here is simply a testimony of God's magnificent faithfulness.
And like this wonderful group, people have come longing not only for revival to touch Wales and their own nations but also to experience a deeper personal life of prayer. Amidst the uneasy times in which we're living, we notice this desire is growing more intense, and it is our great joy and privilege to find that people are both encouraged and challenged when we share our experiences.
This is a great exhortation in Hebrews 10:23-25, "Let’s hold firmly to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let’s consider how to encourage one another in love and good deeds, ... encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near."

Dear Friends of Wales Awakening,
On this 11th of May twenty years ago, we stood in the chilly British weather with half of our worldly possessions outside Heathrow Airport in London! Far behind lay the heat of Louisiana and this new chapter of our lives had begun—now the longest chapter. We are still amazed how the Lord had sovereignly moved us here lock, stock and barrel. After twenty-nine years of ministry among Latin Americans, this radical change had all the markings of foolishness.
On that very same day, on the drive into Wales, I stopped to take this picture as we neared our destination. The bright flowers and the name of the town for "some reason" just grabbed our attention. What we could never have known at the time was that this was the town where we would live for our first two years in Wales. And even more "coincidental", the white entrance just ahead on the right would be our home. And now to top that off, Beulah is part of our postal address—we live on the next hill to the north in Betws Ifan, a place dedicated to prayer since the fifth century!
Now incredibly, after two decades, it seems we have come full circle. We're right back where we started, but we could never possibly imagined how things would have turned out, or much less that we would have been here this long! But God's ways are far above our own, and we can only be thankful for His incomparable faithfulness.
As I have mentioned in my last couple of updates, the Lord is doing what only He can do, and our hearts our thrilled as new of God's intervention continues to pour in from around the world. This great news came in just days ago about a mass baptism that took place in Huntington beach in Southern California. You can watch this glorious 2 1/2 minute report from CBN at this link.
We rejoice with millions of other praying saints around the globe as see the rapidly increasing fruit of decades of concerted prayer and intercession by the Body of Christ. New life is springing up all over the place. May your joy be full as we press on together for God's glory and the eternal salvation of multitudes,
Dick & Gladys
