Dear Friends and Prayers:

This week was the second annual event for Llanw, a family festival that brings Welsh speaking Christians throughout Wales together in order to celebrate and deepen our relationship with the living God. "Llanw" actually means "flow, or tide" and its goal is to equip the church and also seek the Lord through worship and prayer for a quickening and renewal.

We had the privilege of being involved with a small group of intercessors to provide support in prayer during their daily activities. We were kindly provided with a prayer room as well as hot meals and an opportunity to fellowship with friends and meet new ones. It was also a chance to practice our rudimentary Welsh and realize how very far we have to go to be conversant!

One of the main directions for our prayer was that the participants would be able to not only worship with freedom and learn more about the Lord through the teaching, but that they would actually be experience God's presence in a tangible and life changing way. In this photo we prayed in a map of Wales painted on the paving, and stood in areas where we live or came from, and marched around the perimeter also inviting the incoming tide of the Holy Spirit over this land.

Also we received written requests which people left in designated baskets and so were able pray for those expressed needs. And today a few people come to receive direct prayer, and we had an exceptional time of praying and ministering to them accompanied by song and music and prophetic acts and declarations. The event continues through tomorrow, and so please pray with us for a continued and increased blessing of God's presence and ministry to each person that has come seeking more of Him in their lives.

There was a very noticeable change in the worship from last year, with a greater depth of prolonged and genuine worship rather than just singing songs and hymns. And it was wonderful to see so many young people and children present, discovering and enjoying the family of God in a broader context than their local churches. Another exciting development is that the direction of this event is being turned over to the young adults, so please pray the Lord give them grace and wisdom to carry this vision forward and provide blessing and encouragement to a wider and wider segment of the Welsh-speaking body of Christ throughout Wales.

There seems to be so much going on around us and around Wales in the past couple of months, and the "tide" is surely rising. I recently received a copy of a prophecy given to a group of people way back in 1930. "There shall come a breath and the breath shall bring the wind and the wind shall bring the rain and the rain shall bring the floods and floods and floods and the floods shall bring the torrents and torrents and torrents. So shall they be saved like falling leaves from the mighty oaks swept by a hurricane in a great forest. Arms and legs shall come down from heaven and there shall be no ebb." So be it, Lord!

We all realize that we are living in a very special time for this country, and it is an amazing privilege to be here and play a small part. On Monday we leave for London to fly to New Orleans on Tuesday. Of course we are looking forward to seeing family and friends, but there is a part of us that just doesn't want to leave this special place, our home. Thank you so much for your ongoing prayers for God's coming move on this land, and throughout all the nations of this dry and thirsty world.

Dear Friends and Prayers:

Yesterday morning under a sunny spring sky, members of most of the churches and chapels in Cardigan met together to march through the town to commemorate Good Friday. The procession ended at the quay beside the Teifi River where there was worship, prayer, a puppet show for the children, and a clear gospel message of eternal hope and salvation.

In the four years we have been here, this was the largest inter-church gathering we have seen yet with well over 150 people in attendance! There is a growing sense of community among the different congregations in the area, and this kind of public expression of our common faith is positive step. This town needs to know that Jesus is the answer to life's big questions, and only He can provide peace and strength to face this increasingly troubled world, and a glorious entrance into the next!

Two Saturdays ago we had another unexpected and very blessed time of prayer in the chapel. A couple we've known had planned to visit us after lunch, and that morning another praying friend called to ask if she could bring another friend along to meet us too. Her friend was called by the Lord in 1988 to intercede daily for another visitation of Wales, and so it was an amazingly joyous encounter for us all. She, of course, was as thrilled to learn how God brought us from New Orleans to specifically intercede for Wales. And we were honored and challenged to meet someone that has dedicated so many years of intense intercession for her nation. And all this was just days after the whirlwind of South African intercessors!

Then last Friday and Saturday there was a series of special meetings for prayer, sharing and preaching at Moriah Chapel in Loughor, the place where Evan Roberts was used powerfully by God to usher in the Welsh Revival of 1904-1905. People came from several countries around the world, including some of our friends from Singapore that we met over Christmas. They then came to stay with us last Sunday, so once again we had a couple of extraordinary days of prayer and fellowship as we accompanied them to a few key places of prayer and historical revival sites.

And a week from this Monday we head off for London and then fly to the U.S. on Tuesday. So things are moving along at a brisk pace recently, and we are looking forward to seeing friends and especially spending time with three of our four children. We have missed them so much during these years, and can hardly wait to see them. We are able to do video-chats over the internet, which is a real blessing, but there is no substitute for actually being together!

In closing I would like to say thank you so much for your prayers for Julia, Diane and Gladys. Julia has started to show some improvement at last, though they still have not been able to make a diagnosis and she remains hospitalized. I just learned that today Diane was out and about with a friend and is getting a bit stronger, so that is good news. And Tuesday was the monthly prayer day at Ffald-y-Brenin, and Gladys received a special touch from God that afternoon and is feeling much better.

Just a quick note to thank you for your prayers. Today Julia opened her eyes, and even squeezed her husband Rick's hand a little. So that is a welcome improvement. "Thank you, Lord!" So please let's continue to keep her in our prayers!

Also, thank you for your prayers for our son Mike, who finally found a job! The Lord is good, and His mercy endures forever!
