Dear
Friends and Prayers:
You may remember that during the past several years
we've talked about the promise in Jeremiah 32 where he says in verse
15, "For thus says the Lord of
hosts, the God of Israel: 'Houses and fields and vineyards shall be
possessed again in this land.'"
It was just over six years ago that the Lord spoke to me through
this
scripture about the ownership of the land. Wales once was a large
majority of believers, and so most of the "houses, fields and
vineyards" belonged to Christians. But sadly now through
secularization, most properties currently belong to unbelievers.
What filled my spirit with joy then, and still does, is that God
strongly impressed on me that as people come to the Lord
in revival, all these properties would
come back under the stewardship of God's kingdom through His church.
It was shortly after that I realized changes were already happening.
The large farm in mid-Wales where Angus Buchan, the author of Faith Like Potatoes,
preached two years ago had been bought under God-orchestrated
circumstances. And then the Bible College of Wales was thankfully
purchased in late 2012 for continued ministry, rather than being
demolished for new housing.
During the ensuing years we've known of other Christians that have
been clearly drawn to Wales by the Lord and acquiring properties. They
seem to know that it has to do with preparations for the coming revival.
One couple recently bought a house next to the castle here in Cilgerran.
And happily, there are others already here who are becoming Christians
and forming part of the church body.
What is really exciting for us now is that our friends Stan and Sue
have just purchased this large house right next to us. The house easily
sleeps 14 people, and they plan to use it as kind of a prayer and
mission base, and are seeking God about what that might look like.
Please keep them and this project in your prayers.
For us, the amazing part of this is when revival really begins to
happen here, things are now in place for people to come and serve.
Intercessors, worshippers and others coming to minister will have
places to stay. We already have access to the cottage from where I took
this picture which can sleep six people. And we can have four extra
people in our house, which just behind and below this one.
Although
we still don't have a clear idea of when or how revival is going to
start, we know that it is coming, and is closer than when we first
arrived to pray here in 2005! The river of God's spirit is rising
across the land of Wales, and more and more people are fervently and expectantly
praying.
We also
have a special request for your prayers. The future of the house that
has been our home for the last nine years is somewhat uncertain. After
our landlord's funeral, his widow said that if we could just buy the
house it would make things much easier for her. She hasn't given us any
direct indication of her intentions, but it wouldn't surprise us if she
puts it up for sale after making some necessary repairs.
Of course we don't have the means to buy this house, but we know
that for the Lord nothing is impossible! We wrote Jeremiah 32:15 and
other scriptures on slips of paper, put them in this little clay jar
and buried them in the garden as an act of faith. We know how
wonderfully God has taken care of our needs since we've been here, and
have no doubts that He will continue to do so as long as we are to stay
here. We know that our times are in His hands and that He will deliver
us in time of need.
Thanks for your prayers for us, and for all that is going on here in
these exciting times. And we send you many blessings in Jesus'
wonderful name!

Dear
Friends and Prayers:
Just before waking this morning I dreamt I was in a room with President-elect Trump and several others who I knew were Godly men and women. He was sitting on the edge of the sofa leaning forward and crying out "Lord Jesus, oh Lord Jesus, I really need your help now. Jesus, this is such an overwhelmingly huge task, please help me [us] to do this right."
I seemed to be aware that he was realizing that he had gotten to where he was before his candidacy by his own abilities. But now it was as if he was suddenly aware that he was put in this position not only through his own ability but far more because of the prayers of the Saints for our nation, not only in America but from around the world. He was sincerely daunted by the responsibility and the awareness that he stands before the Lord.
My first reading in the chapel this morning was the portion out of 2 Kings 22:11-13. "Go, inquire of the Lord for me and the people and all Judah concerning the words of this book that has been found, for great is the wrath of the Lord that burns against us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us." When the king heard the words of the book of the law, he tore his clothes.
As I brought this before the Lord, these verses came to me.
Joel 2:13 So rend your heart, and not your garments;
Return to the Lord your God,
For He is gracious and merciful,
Slow to anger, and of great kindness;
And He relents from doing harm.
Jeremiah 1:6 Then I said, "Alas, Lord God!
Behold, I do not know how to speak,
Because I am a youth."
Psalms 139:1-6 O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
You understand my thought from afar.
You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.
Even before there is a word on my tongue,
Behold, O Lord, You know it all.
You have enclosed me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is too high, I cannot attain to it.
I feel that this will be one of the most important ways that we can pray for him – that he realize his own inability and openly embrace his dependence on God for for wisdom, help and guidance. Also that his character be transformed in such a way, and he be surrounded with people also, that they would fulfill the qualities spelled out by Jethro to Moses, and Paul to Timothy.
Exodus 18:21. Furthermore, you shall select out of all the people able men who fear God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain; and you shall place these over them as leaders of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties and of tens.
1 Timothy 3:2-4. An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money. He must be one who manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity.
One more needed prayer is that he may be drawn into the word of God.
Hebrews 4:12,16. For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart... Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Psalms 141:3-5 Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth;
Keep watch over the door of my lips.
Do not incline my heart to any evil thing,
To practice deeds of wickedness
With men who do iniquity;
And do not let me eat of their delicacies.
Let the righteous smite me in kindness and reprove me;
It is oil upon the head;
Do not let my head refuse it,
For still my prayer is against their wicked deeds.
There are of course countless more needs than these for prayers for Trump and The team that forms around him, but I believe these are utmost priority for right now.
A pastor from New Orleans has written a much more comprehensive guide for prayer your reference here, "How To Pray For Our Nation Following The Election."
A very heartfelt thank you for your prayers for America, and for her children and ours,

Dear
Praying Friends:
When I heard the news about
President-elect Trump's victory early this morning, I sat down and wept
with tears of gratitude and relief that there is now more hope for real
change. There is now a chance for an end of the scourge of unlimited
abortion, unchecked administrative corruption, and national policies
made in the interest of small "privileged" insider groups rather than
the citizenry at large.
Now the real need for diligent prayer
begins! We can not sit back and rest on our laurels.
The first battle is over, now the long struggle for deep and lasting
change begins. God has transformed each one of us through His mercy and
grace. He can do the same for Mr. Trump, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton, or
anybody else.
Remember what it says in Psalms 9:20,
"Put them in fear, O Lord;
Let the nations know that they
are but men.
Selah."
And this all important exhortation that
Paul writes in 1 Timothy 2:1-2,
"First of all, then, I urge that
entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf
of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead
a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity."
May the Lord have mercy on the United States of America!

Awakening:
We are praying especially for the U.S. election today and tomorrow.
These are a few scriptures that seem to apply.
Hosea 10:12
Sow with a view to righteousness,
Reap in accordance with kindness;
Break up your fallow ground,
For it is time to seek the Lord
Until He comes to rain righteousness on you.
Psalm 135:13-15
Your name, O Lord, endures forever,
Your fame, O Lord, throughout all generations.
For the Lord will judge His people,
And He will have compassion on His servants.
The idols of the nations are silver and gold,
The work of men’s hands.
As we pray, it is good to remember that
the blessings of His promises
come through obedience to His words
as we are illumined and empowered
by the Holy Spirit.
Thank
you again for your prayers for America!
