Dear Friends,

As I turned down the lane into the chapel today, the barley field on my right is all a beautiful golden color, and the words just dropped into my heart, Hastening the Harvest. And I just thought to myself, "My, isn't this..., isn't God amazing, just how He speaks to us through so many things?

And then when I went upstairs to the balcony where we spend most of our time, I opened the scriptures and at the top right of the page were Jesus' words in bright red letters from John 9:37-38 saying, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into the harvest." Talk about a setup! And it is certainly a recurring theme—we're hearing about it and seeing pictures of it in many places around the globe.

On Saturday night, we were at the second Gathering of the Rainmakers in the chapel in Blaenannerch, where Evan Roberts was baptized with the Holy Spirit and jettisoned to break out the 1904 Welsh Revival. We were a small group, but it was a sweet and intimate time. The Lord really ministered to us as we worshipped and prayed and ministered to one another. And it was encouraging for us all, and precious just to be together with others whose hearts hunger for the Lord and the outworkings of His plans.

It seems so clear that the Lord is speaking to us, saying to us that we all have parts to play. We each have something specific to do, but a common context for us all is that we need to pray for laborers in the harvest. Two young people were baptize yesterday morning at Mt. Zion Baptist CHurch in Cardigan, and how refreshing to see that and hear them confess their disposition to follow Jesus and represent Him in this needy world.

Just as this small falcon, a Kestrel, had his eye on a target and lept into action, so are we to be alert and ready to act. As if to underline the theme, this morning I received a word from our old friend Ellis Williams who was at that Saturday night meeting. We hadn't seen him for over ten years; he was prompted to drive all the way from England to join our small group. Here's part of what the Lord gave him.

"I love my people in Wales. My heart longs for them to return to me. But they are distracted by worldly ways and means. But I have a remnant that is positioned over the land. Some are bold and some less so. But I will rain down my fire on this land again. Rainmakers and fire-starters are all the same as My Spirit comes in both forms.

"This has already been prophesied in the fulfillment is yet to come. Push in to Me, says the Lord, and seek Me as you do, for I will show you specific plans that I wish you to undertake with Me. The 12 of you who met in Blaenannerch were chosen to be there and My Spirit moved. You will not be the same again for I have touched you in a deep way. Know this, you have not tarried in vain. Rain and fire will be poured down from the throne and My glory will return to My beloved Wales."

And so once again I just thought, "Well, what a great way to start the week, to be encouraged by things that we see, the things that we hear through the body of Christ. We see that God is really raising up an army of prayers, sowers, waterers, and harvesters.
